Betty Levine was born in Whitechapel in August 1925, one of three sisters. Her father was Lithuanian and mother English. Betty went to school in Ely in Cambridgeshire & then trained as a nurse at Redhill County Hospital followed by a period at the Women’s Hospital in Soho Square. She was also employed as a nurse at Pinewood Studios.
